The Veronicas // Gothic Summer Tour
On May 4, 2024, The Veronicas took over the House of Blues in Las Vegas for their Gothic Summer Tour, with Jesse Jo Stark opening. From the moment Jesse stepped on stage, I knew this was going to be a killer show. There is something so different, dark, and captivating about Jesse. Along with her incredible vocals and energy, I was engulfed by the entire set. I had never heard of her before this show, but I am now a fan for sure.
When The Veronicas hit the stage, the crowd was already pumped and ready. The energy from Jess and Lisa was incredible from start to finish. They played heaters off of their new Gothic Summer album like “Detox”, “Ribcage”, and “Jungle” but also busted out the mid-2000s bangers like “Untouched”, “This Love”, and “4Ever”. This was my second time seeing and shooting with The Veronicas live. I was able to shoot their set at the 2023 When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas, where they put on back-to-back phenomenal performances on days 1 and 2.
At this last show, Jess and Lisa signed a print of a photo I took of them backstage at last year's festival. This will definitely be framed in my office.
The Veronicas are more than just musicians; they're icons in the industry. Seeing them live again only reinforced why they've been one of my favorite groups for so long, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have been a part of their journey.
